Sugar Night Night

Year after year when we ask our members what their greatest challenges are as parents of multiples, the same answer comes out on top – sleep! Navigating nightime and naps is challenging enough with one newborn, let alone two or more. That’s why we’re happy to call Jen Verala of Sugar Night Night a longtime friend of the club. She has served as an expert speaker, providing our members with tips and solutions, multiple times and has worked with many of our twin families to provide individual guidance.

With a Bachelor’s in Human Services and an emphasis in Counseling, it’s no wonder Jen is so adept at leading caregivers through the long days and even loner nights. She is a certified Gentle Sleep Consultant who provides tried and true strategies, and unique solutions that use sleep science to support a mother’s intuition. Through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and workshops, Jen develops individualized plans that work for your family’s schedule. The first step to working with Jen is a 30-minute consult that will help Jen get an idea of your child’s behavioral and health history, your family’s needs; and most importantly, that will leave you with hope that your circumstances can change.

For those turned off by “cry it out” and other extinction methods, Jen offers a gentle alternative for families who:

  • Emotionally or philosophically resist letting their babies cry it out.
  • Tried “Ferber” (controlled crying) and it didn’t work.
  • Let their baby cry it out earlier but now find it doesn’t help.
  • Believe in co-sleeping but find that their child isn’t really sleeping all that well, even nestled snugly with them as parents.
  • Did co-sleep for a few months to a few years and now want the family bed to revert back to the marital bed.

The San Diego Parents of Twins Club is grateful to have Sugar Night Night as a featured sponsor for this years silent auction fundraiser.
